Saint Antonina

During a time of persecutions against Christians, the virgin Antonina was sent by the governor to a house of prostitution.  An Angel of God sent Alexander, a soldier who did not know Antonina, to rescue her.  They exchanged clothes and she made her escape.  When they were caught, they were tortured and killed, but Antonina died still a virgin.
Saint Antonina died on May 3, 313 A.D.
We honor this Holy Virgin Martyr on June 10.
Holy Virgin Antonina, pray that we may always find the way of escape from both the violence of others and our own temptations.  Amen.
