Saint Agnes

Saint Agnes of Rome was only thirteen years old when she gave her life for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Because of her Christian faith, she was tortured with fire and killed by beheading.
Saint Agnes was martyred in the year 305 A.D.
The ancient Greek name "Agnes" means "pure."
We honor this Holy Virgin Martyr on January 21.
Wonder-working Virgin Martyr Agnes, as we honor your holy memory, we ask for the miracle of strength in suffering.  Amen.
